7 Tips for Getting Grown-Ups Out in the Rain

It’s not quite officially fall yet but here in Vancouver it’s definitely felt like it. The mornings are crisp, the leaves are turning colors… we’ve had a little rain but September is generally LOVELY. Then October hits and it rains. And rains. And rains. I actually love the rain, mostly from inside. It takes a bit of coaxing from Stephen to get me out in it but once I am, if I’m dressed appropriately (which I struggle with… you’d think after 31 years of Vancouver living I’d know how to dress for rain) I LOVE it. And I so want to get my kid to love being outdoors no matter what the weather.

You at 21 Months

{I do apologize for the lengthy post but I want to capture these days fully before they fly by}DSC00634Bubs, you are such the little man.

You wake up every morning in our bed around 8:30, happily exclaiming “mama!” “dada!”, followed quickly by you lowering yourself off the edge of the bed (new this week!) and running to the next room declaring “whoa!” as you see something you think is pretty awesome.

Camping in the Westy: Rolley Lake

DSC09630About a month ago we took our Westfalia camping for the first time, just overnight. We headed out to Rolley Lake to meet up with another couple that we knew through the VW community online. We’d met him only twice and her not at all, but seeing as we both have Westys and toddlers we figured we’d have enough to talk about. We got along so well; they are a great couple and their son is just adorable.

To Remember {18 Months}

Bubs you amaze me. I love watching you learn things, new ones everyday lately it seems. Today you figured out there were tractors on your pajama pants and spent the ride home pointing at them and making car noises. Last weekend you learned how to give awkward toddler hugs to your new friend and I got all the warm fuzzies inside.
