About me: I am a wife and mum first, and a lover of family and community. I work full-time as a casual LPN at a nearby hospital. I love the fall, walks in the crisp air and cosying up inside out of the rain with good company, either here or in person, and a cup of hot tea.

About us: Stephen and I met while volunteering at a kids camp 10 years ago. Although we are quite different, the ideas and morals we stand on are so similar that we work together and complement each other so well. We’ve been married almost seven years and are more in love now than ever (cheesy and cliche I know, but true). Our son James is two and we adore him. We’ve lived in community in some form or another most of our lives and currently live with Stephen’s brother and our Boston Terrier Jack. We always have many projects on the go, mostly things on wheels, which currently include a Jeep, VW Westfalia, ’79 Honda Accord and first generation Honda Civic wagon, as well as a few scooters and motorcycles (ok maybe a few more than a few). We enjoy going out to the city on our days off and taking long walks around our neighborhood or at the beach.

About the table and the road: These are the two places that most of our life and passions happen around. I’m hoping this blog will be a place where I can document and process our life, as well as a place to gather with new friends and old. Kick off your shoes, grab your favorite drink (London Fog anyone?), and pop in to say a quick hello or stay awhile and make yourself at home. So glad you are here!
